Community Manager
3Box
You’d join a lean, passionate, senior team on the cutting edge of AI and decentralized technology. We look for high agency, integrity, and excellent communication as we aim to empower every person to move the needle on our huge mission.
The Opportunity
As Community manager for Recall, you will be the day-to-day manager and primary point of contact for our token holder community, ensuring excellent communication, smooth operations, and sustained engagement across all community channels. This role reports to our Foundation Executive Director and partners closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, and the core development team to keep the community informed, engaged, and satisfied with clear, timely communication. Following our recent TGE, you will be responsible for maintaining an active, well-informed token holder base through exceptional organizational skills and consistent, high-quality community management that de-risks complaints and builds long-term trust.
What You'll Achieve:
- Serve as the reliable, always-on presence for our token holder community, maintaining daily engagement and responsiveness across Discord, Telegram, X (Twitter), Farcaster, and other channels. Keep community members informed, answered, and feeling heard.
- Own all community communications and serve as the liaison between the core team and community. This includes drafting and distributing updates, coordinating announcement timing, preparing FAQ responses, running regular AMAs and community calls, and ensuring all messaging is clear, accurate, and on-brand before it goes out.
- Monitor community sentiment daily and proactively surface concerns, questions, or potential issues to Sam and the core team before they escalate. Act as an early warning system for community friction and coordinate swift, well-crafted responses.
- Execute on community engagement initiatives and programs (ambassador outreach, community events, reward distributions, etc.) with strong attention to detail and follow-through. That said, you'll have the autonomy to propose and pilot new engagement ideas—we want someone who can both execute flawlessly and think creatively about what's next.
- Track and report on core community health metrics including response times, sentiment trends, engagement rates, common support issues, and token holder feedback. Provide regular updates to leadership with clear, actionable insights.
- Build and mentor a decentralized network of community moderators, regional leads, and power users who can scale community operations globally. Develop a clear succession plan that enables community self-governance over time.
- Stay ahead of the curve on community tooling and platforms—whether that's leveraging AI for community support, deploying Telegram bots for automation, experimenting with emerging social platforms, or adopting new engagement formats. You'll have the space to test and implement tools that make our community operations smarter and more scalable.
Skills You'll Need:
You’re likely a great fit if you have:
- Exceptional organizational skills: You're the person who keeps lists, follows up, maintains spreadsheets, sets reminders, and ensures nothing gets missed. You can manage multiple communication threads, competing priorities, and tight deadlines without dropping balls.
- Outstanding written communication: You write clearly, professionally, and with the right tone for our community. You can take technical updates from the team and translate them into accessible community announcements. You're meticulous about proofreading and getting messaging right before it goes out.
- Detail-oriented execution: You catch errors, inconsistencies, and potential issues before they become problems. You double-check facts, verify information with the team, and ensure quality control on all community-facing content.
- Responsive and dependable: You're online and engaged during key community hours. You respond quickly to urgent issues, escalate appropriately, and can be counted on to handle the day-to-day operations without constant oversight. The team trusts you to keep things running.
- People skills and emotional intelligence: You're good with people—patient, empathetic, and able to defuse tense situations with clear, calm communication. You can handle frustrated community members professionally and make people feel heard even when you can't immediately solve their problem.
- Tool fluency and adaptability: You're comfortable rapidly learning and deploying new tools—whether that's AI-powered support systems, community bots, analytics platforms, or emerging social channels. You don't need to know every tool on day one, but you're a quick study who stays curious about what's new and figures out what's worth adopting.
- Systems-minded approach: You naturally build processes, templates, and documentation to make repeated tasks more efficient. You think about how to systematize community management so it scales without requiring heroic effort.
- Crisis Management & FUD Response: Experience managing communities during volatile market conditions, coordinating responses to FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt), handling security incidents or exploits, and maintaining community morale during challenging periods. You know when to escalate issues and how to communicate transparently under pressure.
If you’re passionate about AI, love building tools that empower others, and thrive in a fast-moving, experimental environment, we’d love to hear from you! 🚀
Bonus Points:
- 1-2+ years in Web3 community management or customer support
- Experience with Discord, Telegram, and social media management tools
- Basic familiarity with tokenomics and DeFi concepts (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Experience managing communities post-TGE or token launch
- Track record of implementing creative community programs or experimenting with novel engagement approaches
