At 3Box Labs we are on a mission to usher in a new era for the web, where data is secure, interactions are trustworthy, and relationships are the basis of connection. We're enabling online experiences that are delightful and integrated while also bolstering privacy and freeing innovation. Our first product, Ceramic, is the building block for composable data on the web and is powering thousands of the world's most ambitious applications.
We're backed by an incredible community and the best investors in the space (USV, Placeholder, Variant, Multicoin) who have deep conviction in our mission. We are a lean, voraciously curious team from across the globe, with 5 years of expert remote work experience and frequent (and awesome) team retreats to spend time together. We have founded tech startups, written books, won product awards, authored patents, created Ethereum standards, and advised F100 CEOs.
Come help us tackle novel challenges and reinvent how data is managed online. Every one of our roles is remote first (retreat often!). We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team because we cannot succeed in our mission without it. People that identify with groups traditionally underrepresented in tech are particularly encouraged to apply.
As Product Lead for Ceramic, the market-leading verifiable event streaming system, you’ll get to shape and accelerate the web’s transition from opaque data silos to high-trust decentralized data systems. You will own the Ceramic product line from long-term strategy to execution and GTM, including the core APIs, databases built on top of it, event storage SDK, network design and node software, and more. You report to founder & Head of Company Danny Zuckerman, partner deeply with the Ceramic Engineering Manager, and collaborate across the org with the product, GTM and architecture teams.

Success looks like…

  • Ceramic’s verifiable event streaming platform is consistently delighting our target customers, with strong conversion after testing, steady monthly growth, and with 90%+ retention. You’ve charted a course to establish us as the leading platform for user, agent and application data in AI, media and advertising, and gaming segments.
  • You bring market expertise and strong input into the overall product strategy and direction. You have become a global expert on the market and trends in decentralized data and how AI will reshape the data landscape. You have a nose for key insights and participate in the market actively.
  • You are an expert at building trust and extracting insights from customers and the community, regularly conducting discovery in deep and broad ways to ensure you understand the current and future needs of the market. You bring a deep understanding of the persona to the team, create great feedback loops, and inform how we position the Ceramic product and platform.
  • You own the roadmap and ensure our execution against it delivers impact and growth, balancing feature development with performance, scale and reliability requirements. The network can handle 10K TPS with 3 9s of reliability, meeting the needs of Web3’s most demanding customers.
  • You work with engineering to enable on-time, highly successful deliveries and set the GTM team up for success taking your product line to market. You are proactive, clear blockers early, communicate changes effectively, anticipate challenges and risks, and create clarity. You empower the engineers you work with to do high-impact work.

You're likely a good fit if you have…

  • You have 6+ years product experience, with a history of delivering complex technical products on time and with great market or commercial success.
  • You are highly technical and bring deep domain knowledge in data platforms, distributed systems, or peer-to-peer protocols. You can get highly detailed in understanding technical requirements, challenge engineers on approaches to highly technical tradeoffs, and chart a course for the future of an event streaming system.
  • You are highly customer-centric. You want to spend a ton of time talking to customers and are great at understanding their needs and bringing them to life for the engineering team. You represent the product and organization externally with passion and conviction.
  • You understand Web3’s key technologies, architectures and cultures. You want to participate in the community as well as build for customers.
  • You transform customer asks, research, and data into insights and high-conviction strategies, using intuition about the space and technology to anticipate what the market really wants and translating that into clear requirements to build.
  • You build clarity amidst uncertainty and change with exceptional communication (written, visual and verbal), constant proactiveness to solve problems and maintain alignment, and clearly structured documents and meetings.
  • Salary range: $180k - $215k depending on seniority and location. We understand everyone's risk preferences and life situation is different so we can offer flexibility here. Our goal is to extend a fair and exciting offer, while preserving fairness across the team.
