The Role: Investment Analyst

CoinFund is looking for a passionate individual to join the CoinFund investment research team. The role will help to identify and present analyses and recommendations to the investment committee on opportunities across the firm’s venture and liquid investment strategies in the blockchain technology space. This individual will work directly with existing members of the investment research team to diligence investment opportunities on the cutting-edge of decentralized technology in support of the more inclusive and representative financial system of the future. Responsibilities:

• Conducting deep-dive research on equity and token investment opportunities, based both on incoming deal flow as well as taking initiative to discover and evaluate new venture projects
• Monitoring the universe of liquid investable digital assets, both currently in the CoinFund portfolio and prospectively, and taking the initiative to understand and highlight opportunities for outperformance
• Contributing to all aspects of analysis, modeling, due diligence, and documentation to support the investment process from inception all the way through inclusion in the portfolio and future monetization
• Tracking, building, and maintaining relationships with project teams, as both prospective investments, both around but ideally ahead of any potential financing opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years experience in investment banking, equity research, venture capital, data analytics, or consulting a plus, though many other backgrounds will be considered
• Passionate about digital assets and investing, prior personal experience in having conducted asset-level diligence is highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the current crypto asset ecosystem participants, blockchains, and underlying technology frameworks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required, with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and ability to prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and manage time effectively
• Academic or practical familiarity with smart contract languages, deployments, and platforms a plus
