The Role: Seed Investor

CoinFund is a pioneering crypto investment firm committed to identifying and supporting groundbreaking projects at the seed stage. With a track record of successful investments and a passion for fostering innovation in the crypto space, we are expanding our team and seeking a seasoned, lead Blockchain Seed Investor. Leveraging your extensive experience in sourcing, performing due diligence, and leading seed-stage investments, you will also be responsible for driving the success of our portfolio companies from inception to market leadership and to exit – and by doing so, play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the web3 industry while driving top decile returns for our LPs.

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing and Due Diligence:
  • Proactively Identify Opportunities: Actively source and identify high-potential seed-stage crypto projects founded by the best teams that align with our investment thesis.
  • Comprehensive Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, assessing the teams, technical, financial, and market viability to make informed investment recommendations.
• Investment Execution:
  • Lead Transactions: Take a leadership role in partnering with founding teams, executing investment transactions, negotiating terms, and structuring deals that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new portfolio companies, providing strategic insights for their growth.
• Portfolio Management:
  • Strategic Guidance: Act as a strategic partner to portfolio companies, providing guidance and leveraging your and CoinFund’s network to drive their success.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of existing investments, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Industry Research and Thought Leadership:
  • Stay Informed: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies within the crypto space.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute thought leadership through industry publications, conferences, and networking events, solidifying [Company Name]'s position as a key player in the crypto venture landscape.
• Relationship Building:
  • Network Cultivation: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the crypto community, fostering connections with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Extensive Investing Experience: A proven track record with significant experience sourcing, winning, and leading some of the most important and successful seed-stage investments within the crypto space.
• Deep Cryptonativity: A demonstrated depth of understanding and fluency in the intricacies of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance.
• Strategic Vision: A deep understanding of the crypto landscape, with a demonstrated ability to identify trends and assess the long-term potential of early-stage projects.
• Network: Established connections within the crypto community, including founders, developers, and industry influencers.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, coupled with the ability to make data-driven investment decisions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Adaptability: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adjust to and thrive in evolving market conditions.
