At CoinFund, our mission is to Champion the Leaders of the New Internet, powered by foresight as active investors to achieve extraordinary outcomes. Since 2015, we’ve partnered with the most promising builders behind blockchain, web3, and decentralization technologies that are shaping the future of the internet itself. Through our seed, venture and liquid strategies, we are a cryptonative firm that invests in emergent technologies before they’re trends. Today, CoinFund has a portfolio of over 120 companies, protocols, and projects across the blockchain space – and we are just getting started.

We look for candidates who are invested in the long-game of crypto and can’t imagine a better industry in which to spend the next several years of their career. We align with individuals who are mission-driven – those who abandon ego and act in service of our investors, our portfolio company founders, and, ultimately, the crypto end-user. Finally, we optimize for those with a healthy risk appetite. We are excited by talent who can thrive in ambiguity and embrace both the vicissitudes and the promises of this breakthrough industry.

  • Contribute meaningfully to all aspects of analysis, modeling, due diligence, and documentation to support the investment process from inception all the way through inclusion in the portfolio and future monetization
  • Establish and deepen industry relationships with founder networks, peer investors, and other industry participants to drive differentiated sourcing
  • Work with the CoinFund team to gain initial execution experience, taking on incremental ownership of deal terms, structure negotiation, and legal documentation
  • Serve as post-investment point of contact and resource coordinator in support of portfolio companies’ product, business development, and growth goals

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Passionate about digital assets and investing
  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
  • 1 to 3 years experience in private equity, investment banking, or professional venture or liquid investing -- or commensurate experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required, with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and ability to prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and manage time effectively

Preferred Strengths

  • Deep expertise in web3 sub-sectors, crypto asset ecosystem participants, and underlying technology frameworks
  • Experience investing in/formally researching crypto and web3
  • Clear comfort with independent thought; self-motivated and deeply curious to understand data-driven trends in the web3 ecosystem
  • Ability to communicate effectively to convert ideas into new positions in the portfolio
