About the Role

We are seeking a Social Media and Content Specialist with a strong understanding of Bitcoin, mining, and digital finance to help expand Compass Mining’s online presence and educational leadership.

The ideal candidate combines a passion for Bitcoin with sharp communication skills and social media fluency. You will manage Compass Mining’s social channels, assist in producing educational content, coordinate campaigns, and analyze performance data to grow our reach and engagement.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their marketing career (1–3 years) who wants to shape the narrative of Bitcoin mining and learn from an industry-leading team.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Manage Compass Mining’s social media channels: X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Telegram.
• Develop, schedule, and publish daily posts that align with brand voice and campaign goals.
• Monitor trends in crypto and finance to create timely, relevant content.
• Engage with the Bitcoin and mining communities to build relationships and increase visibility.

Content Creation

• Produce and edit educational blog articles about Bitcoin mining, hardware, energy, and industry trends.
• Draft content for newsletters, product updates, promotions, and educational campaigns.
• Assist in repurposing articles and podcasts into short-form content suitable for social platforms.

Campaign Coordination

• Support marketing campaigns and product launches across digital channels.
• Collaborate with design, growth, and operations teams to align messaging and visuals.
• Maintain campaign calendars and track deliverables for timely execution.

Analytics and Reporting

• Track and report on engagement, growth, and conversion metrics across all channels.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance through A/B testing, timing analysis, and audience insights.
• Present monthly reports summarizing reach, engagement, and content performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams to understand technical updates and translate them into accessible narratives.
• Assist with influencer and partner outreach when needed.
• Perform additional content or coordination tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation.
• Familiarity with Bitcoin, crypto, financial markets and investing terminology.
• Experience managing or growing social media accounts in crypto, fintech, or tech sectors.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of SEO and content optimization.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Bitcoin, blockchain, and ideally Bitcoin mining concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience/knowledge).
• Experience creating short-form video or visual content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks).
• Prior experience in Bitcoin mining, crypto exchanges, or fintech marketing.
• Understanding of email marketing and AI tools.
